Last, but not least Sunday match report of the season. Once again, I was not in attendance, so don’t expect any great insight, but looking at the scoresheet, this appears to be an absolute drubbing for Salix. I wonder if they will deem the Quokkas to be ‘unsportsmanlike’ and consider scrubbing us from next year’s calendar?
After last week, where it felt almost cheating to have proper cricketers playing, the big news was Radio, Herc and Driver were available. Normal service has resumed. Pre-match chat revolved around the quality of food from Evil Dave’s Grill and Little Yak restaurants. Neither have Driver’s seal of approval.
The Quokkas batted first. Saad didn’t last long. To rub salt in his wound, Rashid and Faggie then put on 150. Herc got a duck. Great season.
Yak, Driver, Ali, Skip and extras helped amass a total of 262 in the end. There is some nice footage of Skip edging for four, Ali edging for four and being dropped and Rashid edging for four and getting his fifty.
Over tea Dic Dac was personally invited via a WhatsApp recorded message to attend the tour. Read the Wroclaw report to find out if that invitation was accepted.
In reply, Salix were bowled out for less than a hundred. 99 to be exact. Yak did the damage with four wickets, backed up by Evil Dave with three and Ali with two. Well done to all involved. What a mauling.
