Quokkas CC 123 all out (Faggie 45, Rashid 18, Evil Dave 14 no) beat Dolphins 98 all out (Evi Dave 3-22, Haider Jr 2-33, Jatin 2-20)
First game of the season and I’ve yet to turn the central heating off. Not sure the Dolphins like us very much. It’s bloody April for god’s sake. Sod that for a game of soldiers. I wasn’t the only one still heavily invested in the football season, but thankfully we had eight Birmingham Quokkas.
Haider and Hashim (yep, new to me too) opened. They scored fuck all. As you might expect, Rashid and Faggie scored half our runs. Well done you two. The rest did diddly, except Evil Dave who was not out. I have a feeling he means business this season. There is only so long you can watch the likes of Skip and Radio scratching around. Extras were third highest scorer I should point out, but 123 was a pretty decent total considering how green the pitch was. I imagine it was. I don’t know, I was at home with my feet in front of the fire.
It looks like we used that green pitch to full effect, with our opponents bowled out for less than a ton. Nice work all. Hairder Jr opened and he was extremely threatening. I will make a note of that and ensure I bowl him fifth change when I am skipper. Jatin bowled very well, he always does, while Evil took some tap but also took wickets including the last. I will start the conversation now (Ed: In October?) Is Evil an all rounder?
